We have been in Split since Friday evening. It's a happening town - our sobe is right around the corner from a "disco" and they'll play American-wedding staples until around 12:00 and then it switches to Croatian stuff. Croats really like to sing along from what I can tell.
The first shot is from the ferry and cruise ship pier, the 2nd is of the Riva (main drag) and the 3rd is of the peristyle inside Diocletians palace. There are 3 arches in the photo, and the street our sobe is on is the arch that looks like it's full of scaffolding. In the morning there are bunches of stray kitties sleeping in the scaffolding.
